Frequently asked

Why does my e-book say it is protected by DRM?+

Books bought from Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books and most big stores are encrypted so only their apps can read them. The text cannot be read without the store's key, so they cannot be converted. DRM-free EPUBs, such as those from Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks and many independent publishers, work.

Does the PDF keep the book's layout?+

It keeps the structure: headings, paragraphs, italics and bold, lists, block quotes, tables, pictures and the cover. It sets the text in its own clean serif typeface rather than copying each book's styling, so every book comes out readable.

What page size should I choose?+

Book size (6 × 9 inches) reads like a paperback on a tablet or prints neatly for binding. A5 is similar in Europe. Letter and A4 suit printing at home.

Is the book uploaded?+

No. The EPUB is unzipped and typeset inside your browser.

Is EPUB to PDF free to use?+

Yes. EPUB to PDF is free and unlimited, with no account and no watermark added to your document.

Are my files uploaded to a server?+

No. EPUB to PDF runs entirely inside your browser, so the document never leaves your device.

Which browsers does it work in?+

Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on desktop, tablet and phone.
