Terms of use

Filezuma is operated by BUCKZERO LLC. By using the site you agree to these terms. They are short, and written to be read.

Last updated 19 October 2026

The service

Filezuma provides free online tools for working with PDF files and converting documents. Accounts are optional, and the tools are free to use within the daily limits shown on the pricing page. Signzuma, at filezuma.com/sign, lets you send documents for electronic signature. We may add, change or remove tools, change those limits, or pause the service, at any time and without notice. Free pages may show ads.

Accounts

You must be at least 13 to create an account, and an adult (or have a parent's or guardian's permission) to buy a paid plan. Keep your sign-in secure: you are responsible for what happens under your account. An account is for one person.

Paid plans

Pro and Business are paid subscriptions, billed in advance each month or year through Stripe. They renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; the plan then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Switching between Pro and Business is prorated: you pay or are credited only the difference for the rest of the current period. Deleting your account cancels a plan at once, since there is no account left to use it with. We do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it. If we change a price, we will email you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and the new price applies only from then; you can cancel before it does.

A day pass is a one-time purchase of Pro for 24 hours from the moment of payment. It is not a subscription, does not renew and cannot be paused; once it has started it is not refunded, except where the law requires it.

Promotional codes apply only as described when they are offered, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn at any time before they are used.

Server conversions and documents sent for signature on a paid plan are for personal and business use by one person, subject to the fair-use ceilings on the pricing page that stop an account being used as a bulk service. “Unlimited” sending means as many documents as one business sends for its own work, up to 1,000 a month and 100 a day; it does not cover reselling the service, sending on behalf of other businesses, or automated or marketing sends. If you need more, ask us and we will raise it where we can. Accounts are for one person and must not be shared.

Your files

Your documents remain yours. We claim no ownership of anything you process, and we do not use your files for any purpose other than carrying out the task you asked for. Most tools run entirely in your browser, so the file never reaches us; the few that need our server delete it as soon as they are done. The privacy page explains exactly what happens.

You are responsible for having the right to use, change and convert the documents you work with — including removing a password with Unlock PDF, which you may only do on documents you are entitled to open.

Electronic signatures (Signzuma)

Signzuma records electronic signatures and the evidence of how they were made, under the US ESIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. BUCKZERO LLC provides the tool; it is not a party to any document signed with it and does not check what a document says.

If you send a document, you are responsible for it: that you are entitled to send it, that the people you send it to agreed to sign electronically, and that an electronic signature is valid for that kind of document where it will be used. Before signing, each signer is shown the consumer disclosure the ESIGN Act requires (paper copies, withdrawing consent, what they need to open the records) and must confirm they can read the document; you must honour a signer's request for a paper copy, and you are responsible for any other disclosure a law requires for your kind of transaction. Some documents cannot be signed electronically under US law, including wills, codicils and testamentary trusts; adoption, divorce and other family-law matters; court orders and official court documents; notices of cancellation of utility service, of default, foreclosure or eviction on a primary residence, or of cancellation of health or life insurance; product recall notices; and documents that must accompany hazardous materials. Documents governed by the Uniform Commercial Code other than its articles on sales and leases (Articles 2 and 2A) are also outside these laws, which matters for negotiable instruments and for chattel paper such as a retail installment contract that a dealer sells to a lender: Signzuma does not provide the “control” of an electronic original that those require, so use a service built for them. Other countries have their own rules. Nothing on Filezuma is legal advice.

Signers who have not signed are reminded by email unless you turn reminders off when you send. Each signer receives the finished document with its signature certificate by email. The finished file is sealed with Filezuma's own certificate so that later changes can be detected, and its fingerprint is kept so a copy can be checked at filezuma.com/sign/verify. The seal shows the file is unchanged; it does not verify who a signer is beyond their access to the email address you entered. The sender's copy stays available until the sender deletes it or their account; keep your own copy of anything you need to retain. Signing links expire, as the privacy page explains.

Signzuma for Dealers (the Dealer plan) adds identity checks: a signer of a dealer document must pass the check the dealership chose (a photo ID checked in person by its staff, an access code it gives them, or a code texted to their phone) before they can open the document. The dealership is responsible for performing in-person checks honestly and accurately, for giving access codes only to the right person, for whether its process meets the requirements of the motor vehicle agency, lender or other party that receives the documents (including FLHSMV's requirements for electronically signed title and odometer forms), for the attestation it signs, and for keeping its records for as long as the law requires. We do not guarantee that any agency or lender will accept a document. The Dealer plan is paid by the dealership's owner and covers the staff they add; the owner can remove staff at any time, and staff lose access to the store's documents when removed or when the plan ends.

Forms and templates

Some tools fill in forms for you, such as the vehicle bill of sale. They are provided as a convenience, for general information, and as is: they are not legal advice, may not meet the requirements of your state, county or agency, and do not replace any form an agency requires. The federal odometer statement on a bill of sale supplements, and does not replace, the odometer disclosure the law requires on the vehicle's title or the agency's own form. Check with your motor vehicle office, or a lawyer, before relying on a form.

Acceptable use

Please do not use Filezuma to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright;
  • process material that exploits or endangers anyone, or that you know to contain malware;
  • point HTML to PDF at systems or pages you are not authorised to access;
  • create, alter or use any document to deceive anyone, including bank statements, pay stubs, identity documents, titles, bills of sale, odometer statements and official forms, or reproduce or apply anyone else's signature without their authority;
  • send signature requests that are unsolicited, deceptive or fraudulent: phishing, impersonating a person or company, collecting a signature by misleading someone about what they are signing, or signing on someone else's behalf without their authority;
  • overload, probe, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure — including by automated bulk use that goes well beyond what a person using the site would do.

We may remove content, suspend or close an account, and void documents sent for signature when we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, and we may report fraud to the authorities.

Copyright complaints

Our designated agent for notices of claimed copyright infringement, registered with the US Copyright Office, is: Devin D. Devito, BUCKZERO LLC, 183 Soriano Drive, Jupiter, FL 33458; phone (772) 224-4212; email devindevito@gmail.com.

If you believe something stored on Filezuma infringes your copyright, send the agent a notice with: your contact details; the work you say is infringed; where the material is on our service; a statement that you believe in good faith its use is not authorised; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them; and your physical or electronic signature. We will act on valid notices.

Ending your use

You can stop using Filezuma and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or stop offering the service; if we stop offering a paid plan, we will refund the unused part of your current period.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Conversion, text recognition and repair are automated and can be imperfect. Check the result before relying on it, and keep your original.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, BUCKZERO LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars (US$100) and the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against BUCKZERO LLC because of documents you sent, processed or stored with Filezuma, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, including legal fees.

Open-source software

Filezuma is built with open-source software, used under its own licences. See the licences page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version. If a change materially affects a paid plan, we will email subscribers at least 30 days before it takes effect.
