Frequently asked
Which files can I convert?+
Plain text (.txt), log files, JSON (pretty-printed), Markdown (.md) and CSV or TSV tables, or anything you paste. The Markdown and CSV to PDF pages explain those in more detail.
Why is plain text in a typewriter-style font?+
Text files often line things up with spaces, such as tables, receipts and code. A monospaced font keeps those columns straight. Untick the option for ordinary prose.
Will accented letters print?+
Yes for Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts, using embedded Liberation fonts. Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Arabic are not covered by these fonts.
Is my text uploaded?+
No. The PDF is made inside your browser.
Is Text to PDF free to use?+
Yes. Text to PDF is free and unlimited, with no account and no watermark added to your document.
Are my files uploaded to a server?+
No. Text to PDF runs entirely inside your browser, so the document never leaves your device.
Which browsers does it work in?+
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on desktop, tablet and phone.
