How to add an image to a PDF

  1. 1

    Open your PDF

Drop in the document. It opens in the editor right in your browser and is never uploaded.

  2. 2

    Place the picture

Choose Image and pick a PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or BMP — or drop one straight onto the page. Drag to position and use the corners to resize; opacity is in the panel.

  3. 3

    Download

Press Download to get a new PDF with your changes built in. The original file is left exactly as it was.

Frequently asked

Will the picture keep its quality?+

PNG and JPEG files are placed exactly as they are. Other formats are converted to PNG on your device first, without recompression.

Can I put a signature this way?+

Yes — or use Sign, which lets you draw or type one and trims it to the ink.

Is my file uploaded?+

No. The editor runs inside your browser, so the document never leaves your device. Edits are kept as a draft on your own device until you start over.
